The Academy has a high demand for enrollment, with more students wanting to come to The Academy than we can accommodate due to space and class size limitations. The waitlist for each academic year is established through a lottery process. Potential candidates are processed in this random lottery where each candidate has an equal chance of being selected. Parents/Guardians must submit a lottery application each year when the lottery window is open (August 1st - January 15th). Please note that there are three categories of candidates that are exempt from the lottery process but must still complete a lottery application
1. Children of staff (application for enrollment occurs within 30 days of hire)
2. Siblings of current students (by family admission date)
3. Children of alumni
If a student is not offered a spot during the initial enrollment period, the student remains on the prioritized waitlist. When an opening becomes available, we will offer the spot to the next person on the waitlist. If a parent declines a spot, their student will be removed and they will have to re-apply if they change their minds.
The Academy does not make any distinction on account of race, creed, color, gender, national origin, religion, or ancestry of any student who seeks admission.
Once a student is enrolled at The Academy, their position in the school is secure, and they do not have to re-apply for a position the following year.
Students may be admitted to The Academy of Charter Schools until October 1st.
**Parents of all students with a current IEP (Individual Education Plan) will be required to submit a current IEP prior to enrollment.
