Fueling lifelong success through preparation, exploration, and empowerment.

This graphic illustrates the application of The Academy's three Navigational Stars

At The Academy, teachers are instructional leaders. They PREPARE students for academic mastery by delivering evidence-based literacy and math curricula; they collaborate in teams to design student-centered learning experiences based on cross-curricular, hands-on projects for students to EXPLORE themes in science and social studies; and they facilitate social-emotional skills lessons that EMPOWER students to become leaders of their own learning.

Academy teachers work hard to provide an engaging, inclusive, and joyful learning environment. They embrace planning for and teaching a diverse classroom of students with a wide variety of learning styles, needs, and behaviors. They form meaningful relationships with students and families, establish a culture of high expectations, and participate wholeheartedly in regular professional development.
